Welcome to The Human Dad!
The Human Dad This is a blog by a man who struggles daily with how to be a good human AND a good dad So it dawned on me the other day—surely I’m not the only man/person out there who is struggling. Surely I’m not […]

This is a blog by a man who struggles daily with how to be a good human AND a good dad
So it dawned on me the other day—surely I’m not the only man/person out there who is struggling. Surely I’m not the only person around who is having trouble striking a good balance with being a good person/citizen, being a good employee, being a good husband/father, being a good son/son-in-law, dealing with stress, staying healthy, eating right, having some fun, and staying true to myself (whoever that might be).
Why start a blog
I’ve done a fair bit of reading on and offline about personal growth and parenting, and it seems to me that the largest voice out there is female. I haven’t been able to find a writer to read that I closely identify with. Couple that with the fact that I’ve also seen research about how writing helps the writer toward his own self discovery, and you have the birth of thehumandad.com.
So as I embark on this personal journey of self discovery and hopefully self improvement, I invite anyone to join me for honesty, humor, learning, and for fostering a sense of kinship associated with shared struggles, as well as exploring ways to improve our condition or situation.
